Old School Coffee Sliced Cakes
This beautiful recipe is shared by Lucinda, she is the real expert for this lovely old school sliced cakes 🤩🤩🤩.
This basic sponge cake recipe could turn into any flavours you like to have, such as vanilla, strawberry or mocca, just add paste of your choice.
Sponge Cake
20x20cm
A
4 egg yolks
75g oil
100g water
150g flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp coffee paste
B
4 egg whites
80g sugar
* Line pan
* Beat yolks until lemony, add in oil follow by water and paste mix well. Fold in flour + bp.
* Beat B until soft to stiff peak. Fold into batter mix u til just combine with a spatula.
* Pour batter into pan.
* Bake 180°c 30 minutes.
* Let it cool before frosting.
* Cut cake into half and frost the 1st layer follow by another.
Swiss Meringue Buttercream
150g butter
2 egg whites
60g sugar

I bought some clear piping gel and added color myself. You can make your own piping gel with cornflour, sugar and water. |
