Pandan Roll Cake and Chicken Floss Roll
On this boring sunday at least i got something to post now!! haaas.....,
I need quick bake to fill my slow moving sunday time. So make quick cake that is the swiss roll not 1 but 2 🙃.
As always recreate n trying out recipe with different measurement + and - and with different pan size, thanks god they turned out wonderful, however my cutting is a mess since they werent chilled so its very fragile to slice.
I make twice recipe for 2 rolls, they are incredibly soft, fluffy and delicious. yummo!
Basic Roll Cake recipe:-
A
5 large yolks
30g sugar
1tsp vanilla
B
40g milk
40g oil
( for Pandan Roll, add 1tsp pandan paste, oil 20g and coconut milk 20g )
C
70g flour
10g cornflour
D
5 egg whites
30g sugar
1/8tsp COTT
* Beat A almost ribbon stage
* Add in B with hand whisk and follow by C mix well.
* Beat D until stiff peak. Fold into batter.
* Chicken Floss Roll pan 28x24cm
* Pandan Roll pan 30x30cm
* Bake 190c for 35 minutes.
* Removed from pan. Let it cool to room temperature then removed base grease paper.
* Fill fillings and roll up, chilled before served.
