Malaysia Viral Moist Chocolate Cake
I don't really know what name is this chocolate cake, but this is the so called gone viral Malaysia Moist Chocolate Cake in square pan with that aesthetic slice. It was famous in social media, if you ever seen in utube, insta or tiktok 😅. Its everywhere.
Actually the famous part is the slicing apperance, do you attracted with the cake aesthetic slice look ?
and it is this simple, delicious and really moist cake. You can steam or bake. There are literally plenty of Malaysia viral moist chocolate cake, really I do not know which is the best try. I will try q different one in the future.
Most of the recipes in utube is about the same. You may go to utube and watch lining techniques, mixing techniques and the slicing techniques. For slicing basically very easy like how you cut a cold cheesecake, dip knife in hot water and clean knife after every slice.
Malaysia Viral Moist Chocolate Cake
Square pan 20x20
A
1 cup sugar
380g/1 canned evaporated milk
1 cup oil
1 cup coco powder
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
B
3 large eggs
1tsp vanilla
C
1 & 1/2 cup flour
1tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
* I omitted condensed milk because I'm afraid my cake is too sweet, but turned out sweetness just nice. So for those who love sweet cake, you do not need to omit condensed milk.
* If you don't like this recipe, there are plenty of choice in YouTube, almost all of them are the same. so is your choice.
Method:
* Line grease paper slightly taller then pan height that's help to lift up the cake later. Make sure to line/cover 4 corners of the 20x20cm pan properly so as no leaking for the ganache pouring.
* In a sauce pan ( do not start fire first ). Put in everything A ingredients, mix well with ballon whisk until you see coco powder has no more clumps. Then on fire in low heat, mix well to combine, sugar has melted and off fire.
* B in a mixer, beat in low speed (3) for few seconds when it turn foamy off mixer, pour A in to foamy eggs and mix well speed (1) for few seconds.
* Add in C sifted ( flour+bp+bs ) into B. speed (1) mix to combine only do not over mix.
* Sift batter into baking pan.
* I bake at 170c 80 mins. Standard 150c 40-60mins. Depends on your own oven heat.
* Do not invert cake, leave cake inside the pan to cool.
* chocolate ganache 300g chocolate + 250g cream. Heat cream and pour into chocolate, mix well to melt and set aside until its no longer warm.
* Pour ganache into cake. Poke bubbles with toothpick. Let it set in fridge for 2 hours before cut.
